Brocket Hall

Haiku

Once more, we play
memory's hide and seek,
as we smile,
searching for a name.

St Helier's sandcastle

Haiku

A 'conversation'
of tell, tell, tell, never ask:
A bird with one wing.

BATH

Ms. Hens and Chickens

Lovely finches draw hens

of varied links to Bath,

studded with gorgeous pigs.

Shadows of Austen
Haunt stylish stones clashing with
static traffic jams.

Millau Bridge

Foster spans the Tarn

with iron angels bearing

airy roads on high.

(The Millau Bridge is the highest bridge in the world.)

September

Season of cobwebs,
Daddy-long-legs and decisions:
To clean or leave them?

Touchstone

Precious, black touchstone,
used to test gold, spark hints of
magic chimeras.

Touch on a leaf

Sun stabbing a leaf
Making dull green glow with light;
Stop-see- save the now.

Haiku

Tired walking feet spur fantasies
of the slop and slut of my slippers.
