Grand gates leading nowhere now

Milestones in the ditch.

Herefordshire at dawn

Look not at the bank

but its rippling twin:

Monet colour but Klimpt lines.

Cease the restless struggle

Be still and know I'm God;

Space can bring answers.

Red and gold litchens

Make patterns in bone bleached sands,

dead land is not dead.

Shells of ships and crabs

are play things of the surf now;

their purpose - the lens.

Lions roaming free

while man is confined and fenced:

a neat reversal.
